ANTIFA is short for anti-fascism. Fascism is a political ideology or system that prioritizes national or collective unity and obedience over individual freedoms. Ideologically, one could view Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany, Trump's America, and Netanyahu's Israel as exhibiting fascistic tendencies. However, in academic discourse, fascism is defined much more narrowly, and many scholars and experts would not classify all of these governments as genuinely fascist regimes.
